Stay the Weekend Review

‘Not without me.’ It is the title of episode 3 and, we think, the best amendment to a friendship rule ever put on screen. Stay the Weekend Crushi builds its whole story around that clause.

Nadia, a translator who keeps her feelings on a short leash, has one weekend to spend and spends it falling for Leo, the single name on Ivy’s do-not-touch list. Ivy is her best friend, and Ivy catches them. Her answer is not a lecture but a new clause, and the clause has a seat in it for Ivy. Three adults, one new set of terms, and a beach setting that makes it all look easy.

All three are fictional adults, and the story frames the new arrangement as a choice the three of them make in the open, which is exactly how we like our fantasies.

Stay the Weekend Crushi: the rule that gets an amendment

Crushi tags it Beach, Best Friends, Forbidden, Sharing, Summer and Threesome. Five episodes, 5:57 in total, around 1:11 each. We split over who the real lead is: half the team backs Nadia, and the other half says Ivy, who changes the game, is the one steering.

The chat roster lists Penny (labeled Step sister), Arara (labeled Best Friends) and Leo (labeled Step brother). As on every Crushi series, all of them are fictional, consenting adults, and the step tags are role-play labels, nothing more.

Who should book this weekend

Good for fans of friendship-meets-attraction stories, sunny settings and triangles that sort themselves out in conversation. Skip it if you want a single love interest, or if step labels in a cast list are not for you, even as role-play.

Heat check and a neighbor on the same beach

Heat lands at 4 out of 5 for us, hot, and the series is for viewers 18 and over.

Swim Lessons (5 episodes, 6:00, also heat 4) is the closest neighbor: another story where a best friend decides that sharing beats competing. That one is loud, sunny and Miami-flavored, while this one is quieter and built around a translator who chooses her words carefully. You can find both in our ranked list of Crushi shorts.

Take the free pair first, then decide whether to stay.
