Bedside Manner Review

Two rules collide in Bedside Manner Crushi. Ours says nobody rewinds on test night; the nurse announces hers in episode 1. We broke ours within a minute to double-check how seriously she meant it. She meant it.

Bedside Manner Crushi: the firefighter who cannot charm his nurse

The patient is an LA firefighter with a shoulder in pieces and an ego in perfect working order. His recovery at home comes with a private nurse, a quick-witted redhead who learned the job in the ER, and for once his charm bounces straight off. She sets him a single rule, and episode 1, ‘Rule One’, puts it on the table right away.

It plays like a forbidden-romance slow burn in uniform. Crushi tags it Firefighter, Nurse, Redhead, Forbidden and Uniform, and shelves it with Boss & Professor, which tells you who is in charge of this particular recovery. Both leads are adults, and the flirting is a game they both clearly want to be playing.

Four episodes, 3:51 in all, leave no room for filler. ‘Night Shift’ (0:47) was the one that had our group chat buzzing, which says more about us than about the nurse.

The prescription: who should press play

Prescribed for anyone who likes banter-first romance, a hero who has finally met his match and uniforms played for fun. Not recommended if you want a long, plotty saga or a big cast: the story is tight and the world stays small.

Two characters from the series are open for chat: Sable, the nurse, and Ethan Cole, the love interest. Handy if the free episodes leave you wanting more conversation.

Temperature check and a sibling

Heat rating: 3 out of 5, steamy but kept at a simmer, for viewers 18 and over.

Knockout (5 episodes, 4:59, also a 3) is its closest cousin. A cocky ex-pro meets an opponent who has never lost, and where this series reaches for a clipboard, that one reaches for boxing gloves. Our best Crushi shorts ranking lines the two up if you want both.

Verdict, doctor’s orders: watch the free pair first, then decide if you want the discharge papers.
