Knockout Review

Verdict before the bell: Knockout Crushi is a sports romance with a very simple scoreboard. One clean punch lands, or it does not.

An ex-pro quarterback is cut after a missed punch that the whole sports world seemed to watch on a loop. The comeback plan is a five-week stint under an unbeaten Brooklyn boxing coach, and the wager on the table is modest: connect with one clean punch, just one. It is a playful wager between two adults, played for rivalry and chemistry, and nobody is pressured into anything.

Knockout Crushi: five weeks, one bet, no free swings

Crushi tags it Athlete, Boxing, Coach, Bet and Rivals, and shelves it under Romance & Drama. The tags suggest a duel for two rather than a crowd, and the five episodes, 4:59 in total, stay in the ring. We caught ourselves counting down to the title episode, which runs the longest at 1:10.

‘Five A.M.’ (0:50), episode 2, is our favorite title, mostly because we assume that is when the coach schedules sessions. Of course she does. One chat character is attached: Kiara, listed as the ex-pro quarterback.

Round two: who it is for, and who should stay out of the ring

For fans of rivalry-to-romance, fallen sports heroes and banter with a competitive edge. Skip it if you want a big cast, a group dynamic or the top of the heat scale.

Round three: what it costs to hear the final bell

Episodes 1 and 2, ‘The Cooler Guy’ (1:03) and ‘Five A.M.’, are the free ones. Episodes 3 to 5, ‘That’s Two’ (0:56), ‘The Ticket’ (1:00) and ‘Knockout’, need a Premium plan, and any Crushi Premium subscription will do; there is no price tag on individual episodes.

The monthly plan is $12.99, and the yearly plan averages about $8.33 a month. Searching for Knockout Crushi Shorts or Knockout Crushi AI? That is the full route: free pair first, Premium for the rest. Our Crushi AI review has the plan details.

The scorecard: heat and a sparring partner

Knockout earns a 3 out of 5 from us, steamy and flirtatious, for viewers 18 and over.

Swim Lessons (5 episodes, 6:00, heat 4) is the nearest neighbor: another athlete-and-coach story built on a bet. That one turns the bet into something shared by the end, while this one, judging by its tags, stays a duel for two. Both sit in our best Crushi shorts ranking.

Our call: take the free pair, and if you need to see whether the last shot lands, Premium covers the final three episodes.
