A Spell for Three Review

Wren Hollis, 21, is in her last year at a magic university perched on a cliff, and she runs a tidy arrangement: two best friends, two secret romances, and neither man knows about the other. A Spell for Three Crushi is what happens when magic decides to audit that arrangement.

The audit arrives as a Tether spell. All three are linked, so sensations travel between them and secrets stop being private. Then comes the deadline: the Magister gives Wren two nights to make her choice. The last episode is called ‘The Hand You Keep’, and we spent the whole run wondering whether she would obey.

A Spell for Three Crushi: a love triangle with no privacy settings

Fantasy is the flavor, tagged Magic, Rivals, Secret and Seduction, and shelved under Fantasy and Romance & Drama. Five episodes, 5:09 in total, and most of the fun comes from jealousy being impossible to hide when everyone feels the same thing at once.

One of us paused episode 2, ‘Only One’ (1:00), to point out that the title is the most optimistic thing in the series. All three leads are fictional adults, and the whole thing is staged as a consensual fantasy with the spell as its plot device.

Who we would send it to, and who should skip

Send it to anyone who likes a magic-university backdrop, a rivalry with real stakes and group-dynamic stories that stay playful. Skip it if you want a one-on-one romance, or if your patience for towers and spellbooks runs low.

There is no chat cast attached, so this one is purely a watch. If you want characters to talk to afterward, the best Crushi shorts list shows which series come with them.

How to watch A Spell for Three on Crushi

On Crushi AI, open Crushi Shorts and start with episode 1, ‘The Tether’ (1:07), then episode 2. Both are free. Episodes 3 to 5, ‘Rivals’ (0:54), ‘Rough’ (1:01) and ‘The Hand You Keep’ (1:07), are Premium episodes: any Crushi Premium subscription opens them, with no per-episode price to haggle over.

Premium starts at $12.99 a month, or about $8.33 a month on the yearly plan, so finishing the story costs one subscription rather than a stack of small purchases. Our Crushi AI review covers the plans in more detail.

Heat level and how it compares

We rate it 4 out of 5, the hot end of our scale: flirty, steamy and meant for viewers 18 and over.

If the three-way chemistry is what you came for, Stay the Weekend (5 episodes, 5:57, also heat 4) is the closest sibling. It swaps the spellbook for a summer beach weekend and a best-friend rule that gets amended, while this one hands the three of them a magical link and a ticking clock.

Our advice is the usual one: take the free pair, see whether the Tether has you, and only then think about Premium.
