Extra Credit Review

What do four MBA students do when term is almost over and the new statistics lecturer is painfully shy? In Extra Credit Crushi, they place a bet, then slowly discover they have misjudged the odds.

The wager is simple: which of the four can get him to drop his guard before term ends. The twist is that the quiet man at the whiteboard has been reading the room all along, and he reads it better than they do. Everyone here is a fictional adult, the bet is a game between grown-ups, and by the second half he is a willing player, not a prize.

Extra Credit Crushi: a wager among friends goes off-script

Crushi files it under Boss & Professor and Taboo, with tags like Bet, Seduction, Shy Guy and Threesome. It is a group story: four friends, one lecturer, six episodes and 5:50 in total. Our team split on the quartet, with one of us rooting for the friend alliance and another insisting the lecturer was the only one with a plan.

All four friends are listed as chat characters: Anika, Ylva, Asha and Yara.

The six episodes at a glance

The first two episodes cost nothing. Episodes 3 to 6 need Premium, and any Crushi Premium subscription covers them with no per-episode fee. Premium costs $12.99 for a month, or roughly $8.33 a month on the yearly plan, which is less than a round at a business-school mixer. More on the plans in our Crushi AI review.

Who it suits, and who should keep walking

Good for fans of group dynamics, shy heroes who prove capable and banter among friends. Skip it if a wager premise is not your thing, or if you would rather have one love interest than a crowd. It is a consensual fantasy between adults, played for flirtation.

Heat level and a close relative

On our heat scale it lands at 4 out of 5, hot, so it is strictly for viewers 18 and over.

Mile High (5 episodes, 7:47, also heat 4) runs on the same shy-man-and-a-wager engine, and even opens with an episode called ‘The Bet’. The difference is scale: that one is an overnight flight with longer episodes, while this one is a whole semester in 5:50. Both sit in our best Crushi shorts list.

Start with ‘The Bet’ and ‘Office Hours’, both free, and see if you want to know how the semester ends.
